We all had a great seafood dinner in Rovinj last night right on the water front and a slow walk home via the gelato shop (yes they have gelato in Croatia as well) - a beautiful evening for a walk with live music being played all along the promenade.
After a fabulous breakfast this morning we headed off to Plitvice Lakes National Park with a stop on the way on the Adriatic Coast. The Lakes are 19 hectares of hills that surround 16 stunning turquoise lakes, all connected by a series of waterfalls. We took a boat across the largest lake and walked along the boardwalk round the lakes for about an hour before we were caught in a sudden thunderstorm. It seemed to be more striking in the rain - amazing scenery - the colour of the lakes were stunning.
