Sandstorm in Dubai

The Emirates A380 was wonderful – we still cannot sleep on planes though. Easy as at new Terminal 3 (Emirates only airport) – Dubai is really geared for visitors. Amazingly after coffee and muffins at hotel at 7am we were ready to hit the sights of this very hazy city. Took the hotel shuttle to a private beach at the Palms. Took a taxi to the Emirates Mall – only 500+ shops – had a lovely lunch at a Belguim café and finally dropped, limping back to our hotel round 4 – slept till 5 the next morning. Looking forward to spending the day at Dubai Mall – largest in the world and to our ride to the top of Burj Khalife – the world’s tallest building.

Yes there are buildings in the background

The Emirates Mall - where to start

No lounges on the beach  -  looking for one round the pool

Mixing with the locals

Glad English is their second language
