We had a wonderful dinner last night at Ristorante Al Giadienetto - the owner Luca is the husband of Stefania - the owner of the B&B we are staying at. The restaurant was away from the tourist area in a gorgeous garden setting - Luca was a generous host and looked after us very well. Once again it took us more than an hour to get there and only 5 minutes to make our way home. Such is Venice!
We were told the Rialto markets were bigger and better on Saturday so this was our first stop today - Gary was keen to see the fish markets. Not quite as busy as we thought it would be but plenty of tourists nonetheless. We then kept walking to an area we had not been to before - around every corner is something different and new - we never tire of meandering through the narrow streets and crossing yet another canal.
Could it be any narrower?
